Thoughseize / Extended Art

I’m once again bringing some of my most iconic Magic: The Gathering artworks to life as extended playmats.
The first to be revealed is Thoughtseize, created in 2007 so 18 years ago (that’s still a kick), for the Lorwyn universe. This card, so dear to my heart, is still one of the coolest and most sought-after cards I’ve ever illustrated.
A little fun fact about Thoughtseize: in another reality, she would have had... her bum in the air. 😆 Her very first version was nude, but my art director at the time, thinking I was influenced by European culture and the often nude ancient statues, asked me to hide certain body parts. So I drew her a suit of armour and veils, which also added dynamism to the design.
