Thor Ragnarok : Gladiators

Concept arts done for some possible gladiators in Thor Ragnarok. For some warriors that you could find on Saakar arena, the place ruled by the Grandmaster and where Loki, Thor and Hulk had fun. I've based my first proposals on the usual gladiator types, worked on them separately and then did the groupshot. More notes on each images.

A guy supposed to fight in the arena.Also in Korg and Miek team . This ugly guy finally ended in the market sequence when Thor and Banner accidentaly collide with him. Making him angry and aggressive. And Thor trying to calm down Banner

This one is the female version of one I've already post. Just changed the anatomy but kept the same look and outfit. based my first proposals on the usual gladiator types : this one being close to a Thracian or a Secutor.

Based on the gladiator type called Retiarus, with a trident and a net. But presently in a scifi context that’s why this ugly face. he had another body type with animal legs in three part so it would offer another kind of gesture and motion.

Part of Korg team. I dealed with Kirby references that director #taikawaititi wanted to put in the movie. So that's partly why this shapes and those blue patterns. It finally ended looking like some kind of gladiator mixed with a spray can.
